Our Beginnings: The Year 2000
GlobalizeMe was founded in 2000, emerging at the end of the tech boom of the 1990s. Based in the Netherlands, our initial focus was on translation and software localization services, partnering with several major software brands through their Dutch subsidiaries. We quickly made our mark as a trusted provider of language and technology solutions, helping companies reach audiences across borders and cultures.
Expanding Our Reach: 2006
As our client base grew internationally, the need for a more global footprint became clear. In 2006, we opened our shared services center in Bangalore, India, which continues to offer comprehensive project management, development, testing, and support services. This expansion laid the foundation for GlobalizeMe’s seamless worldwide reach and our commitment to around-the-clock client support.
Broadening Our Service Offerings: 2009
By 2009, our services evolved from traditional translation to a wide array of language and technology solutions. This expansion led us to rebrand our content services as GlobalizeMe Content, covering translation, localization, and content creation. We also launched GlobalizeMe Digital, with a dedicated UK-based team specializing in web and app development, cloud implementation, and technology consulting. Our mission was clear: to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions at affordable rates, whether directly or through white-label partnerships.
Partnering with SAP: 2010 – 2013
A significant milestone arrived in 2010 when we became an official SAP Language Service Partner – one of only a few in the world and the sole provider in the Netherlands. In 2013, we took this expertise even further, selling SAP software localization services through the SAP Store, now known as the SAP Partner Finder.
AWS Accreditations: 2014 – 2015
The cloud era brought new opportunities, and in 2014, we became an AWS Consulting Partner, demonstrating our team’s expertise in AWS technologies. By 2015, we had also become an AWS Authorized Reseller, cementing our capabilities as a full-service AWS solutions provider. Our team continued expanding our services to SAP partners and end clients, driven by our ongoing dedication to quality and innovation.
SAP Language Technology Consulting: 2017
In 2017, we strengthened our role as SAP specialists by providing language technology consulting services to SAP end clients. Working alongside specialized partners, our experts help clients use SAP localization features to scope, export, translate, and import system content for diverse languages, solidifying our status as a trusted partner in SAP language solutions.
Navigating a Pandemic: 2020
As COVID-19 swept the globe, our established hybrid and agile infrastructure meant we were well-positioned to adapt, allowing us to continue supporting clients with minimal disruption. While businesses worldwide faced uncertainty, GlobalizeMe was ready. Our teams shifted to remote work, giving clients the stability they needed. Our hybrid model proved to be a lifeline during this period of global upheaval.
A New Era: 2024 and Beyond
Today, GlobalizeMe operates with hybrid teams across Europe and the Indian subcontinent, with strong infrastructure in the Netherlands and the UK. Despite ongoing global challenges, we continue to offer an agile, friendly, and professional service, bringing unmatched skill and dedication to each project.
